Along with several other BASKers, I served as a safety boater for this event launching from Pier 40, San Francisco. Not only a good day on the water, but a feel-good day!

Kimberly Patterson > ...and ship building. Across the central basin was a big tanker in dry dock.
Kimberly Patterson > We passed closer to these ships than we ever would, were they not rather mothballed.
Kimberly Patterson > Hey, there's a hole beyond the bulb! Oh, it's a bow thruster.
