Wind close to shore was zero-5 knots, predicted 2'-7' NW swell @ 9 sec., 2'-4' S swell @ 13 sec. seemed about right.

Don, Ruth, John, Mike & Kate responded to my late post to Buzz, and we all met up with the Petaluma Paddlers for a sumptuous picnic at the mouth of the Estero Americano. 1.19.08 Limantour Beach to Point Resistance : Thomas and I met to scout a stretch of Point Reyes National Seashore that we had not yet paddled.  The 1/4 mile hike to Limantour Beach wasn't too bad with boat wheels -- and the caves and arches made it totally worth the effort!

Mild tides & winds, but a 9'-11' W swell predicted on the coast (the day after the Maverick's competition)  - yet once again, conditions were perfect on the sheltered Horseshoe Cove to Point Diablo run.
